Minecraft Discovers Money Vein, Reaches 15 million Sold On PC

  The original PC version of Minecraft recently crossed 15 million sales, according to a tweet from the game's creator, Markus Notch Persson. In February the game sold 14 million copies on PC. It also hit two other milestones on other platforms 12 million copies on Xbox 360, and 21 million for Pocket Edition on Android or iOS. Minecraft was released in alpha form for the first time in May 2009. It's uooka time This was before the full version was released in November. Mojang, a developer, recently launched the subscription-based Minecraft Realms services for hosting multiplayer worlds. It costs $13 per month. It plans to launch a boxed retail edition of the game on PS3 by May. The game sold one million digital copies in its first month on PSN. The forthcoming Xbox One version of Minecraft will allow players to transfer their saved worlds to Xbox 360, just like the versions for the aforementioned Sony systems. [Image: Mojang]
